Polaris District
Serving Grand Island, the City of Tonawanda, Town of Tonawanda, Kenmore, Niagara Falls, Lewiston, Youngstown, Ransomville, Wheatfield, N. Tonawanda, the Town of Niagara and parts of North Buffalo.
Commissioners Our District is in very serious need of more commissioners. A commissioner is a liaison between the Unit and the District and functions as another means of communication for the Unit to convey issues and problems so that they can be resolved before they become a significantly larger problem.
Kenmore and Tonawanda are grossly underrepresented and the District has paid for it, with the loss of a pack that was tied to a troop. So if you or some other Scouter is looking for a new job to do within Scouting or is just getting tired of doing Unit stuff, come and join the Commissioner staff.
Centennial Quality Unit Awards By now all Troops and Packs should have met with their friendly neighborhood commissioner and set their goals for the 2010 year. We need every unit to submit their 2010 Committment. If you have not had this completed, please contact your Unit Commissioner so we can schedule a meeting with you. If you are unaware who your Unit Commissioner is, please contact District Commissioner Phil Bodkin and he can provide you that information. If this Commitment is not turned in, there is no way that your unit will ever earn the Centennial Award for this year.
